Dr. Vernon has practiced physical therapy in a variety of settings, always specializing in orthopedics and spinal pain. He has advanced training in dry needling and manual therapy techniques and is certified in Isernhagen Functional Capacity Testing. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2000 and has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 1998. In addition to his experience as a clinician, Kevin has co-authored research published in the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology and has worked with the medical staff at the ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Kevin is a Colorado native who enjoys fly fishing, cycling, golfing, and snowboarding.
Jen is a physical therapist with a passion for yoga. Lighthearted and enthusiastic, Jen is known for her engaging style and ability to share complex concepts in a clear and accessible way. Her yoga classes are creative and empowering. Students are encouraged to explore and experiment and to develop a practice that truly fits. She sequences with intention and uses engagement-oriented cues to facilitate a safe and rewarding asana practice. Expect a steady, unhurried pace, a focus on breathing, options and modifications, challenging standing postures, and time for stillness and reflection.
Jessica worked as a licensed massage therapist for five years prior to becoming a physical therapist assistant, and has continued since. As a massage therapist, Jessica specializes in site specific work to manipulate dysfunctional tissues but also enjoys giving relaxing full-body massages. She focuses on myofascial release and trigger point release to address the fibrous restrictions as well as the chemical system that perpetuates pain.
As a physical therapist assistant, Jessica uses hands-on skills in conjunction with specified exercise instruction to change the problem at its source. She specializes in postural correction and core strengthening to correct neck and back pain. Beyond orthopedic physical therapy, she has also worked in home health and school based therapy for children with special needs to expand her perspective on treating movement related problems. Beyond physical therapy, Jessica is enthusiastic about exploring Colorado. She particularly enjoys snowboarding and live music.
